大会実況配信システムの検討
かまあげさんが、（http://vf5r.no-ip.org/blog/kamaage.php?itemid=2163）で、｢大会映像をストリーミング配信する｣をどう実現するかという記事を書かれていたが、IT業界（笑）に勤務する当方が、本日はストリーミング配信について考察しようと思う。
1.自前で構築する場合
■システム概要図
調子に乗ってパワーポイントなんて書いてみた
■基本構成
メディアサーバ ・・ DVから取り込んだ素材を適切な形式・サイズにエンコードする
ストリーミングサーバ ・・ メディアサーバにてエンコードした動画を配信する
ユーザーはストリーミングサーバ上の動画ファイルにrtsp形式でアクセスする。
■メリット
・画質
自前でエンコードする為、配信する動画の画質を自由に調整可能。サーバーが追いつけば公式動画クラスの配信も可能（現実的には厳しいが）
・ユーザーの把握が可能
自前のサービスを利用する為、ユーザー数を絞ることも、詳細なログを取得することも可能な為、今後のサービス展開における各種考察が可能となる（海外が多いとか、?県が多いとか、?の試合が視聴率高いとか・・）
■デメリット
・グローバルIPが必要
店舗側もらえないのであれば、ルーター側の設定でポートフォワーディングの設定が必要になる。
・リアルタイム性の追求が困難
取り扱うファイルが大きければ大きいほどエンコードの処理も負荷が大きくなる為、リアルタイム性を求めるのであれば、より処理性能の高いサーバが必要となる。もしくは最初からUSBのWEBカメラで撮影してエンコード処理自体を省くことも考えられる。ただどの店舗でも実現するとなると、常設のサーバは現実的に厳しいことから、画質とのある程度のトレードオフは仕方のないことか。
2.外部サービスを利用する場合
ニコニコ生放送、StickCAMなどの外部ストリーミングサービスを利用する。
どちらもサービスとしてはほぼ同様であるが、有償である為か、快適度はニコニコの方が上かと思う。その代わり最近は番組枠が取りづらくなっており、12時間連続での枠取りなどはかなり困難となっている。

メディアサーバー（PC可） ・・ カメラより素材を取り込み、デスクトップ上に動画を表示させる
SCFC DSF ・・ Windowsのデスクトップをキャプチャするアプリケーション
ニコ生もしくはStickCAM ・・ ストリーミング配信サービス。SCFC DSFでキャプチャされた動画をインターネット配信可能。最大500ユーザー程度が同時閲覧可能（ニコ生）
■メリット
・ハイスペックのサーバが不要
基本的な仕組みは、ビデオ素材をデスクトップに表示し、それをキャプチャしているだけなので、ライセンス費用の高いServer2003は不要。XPの普通のPC環境で配信が可能となる。また、PC-サーバ間で1:1の通信を行うだけである為、配信側はそこまで高速な回線を必要としない（はず）
・複数筐体同時実況が可能
単純にデスクトップの選択部分をキャプチャして配信している為、逆に言えばPCからカメラを複数台接続して、デスクトップ上に台数分画面を表示させることが出来れば、そのまま配信される為、「左上がA筐体、右上がB筐体・・・」なんて配信方法も実現可能である。
■デメリット
・ログ取得等、分析が困難
外部サービス利用の為、いつ、誰がのログ取得が困難な為。ストリーミング配信の結果を分析することが出来ない。
・画質が悪い
自前で構築の方でも述べたが、外部サービスを利用する以上ある程度の需要は必要かと思う。
■総括
個人的には2案かと思う。画質の問題などは差し置いて、ニコニコの豊富なバックボーンを利用することで主催者側は通常ノートPC、ネットワーク回線、カメラを用意さえすれば数百人規模を相手としたストリーミングを気軽に提供することが出来る。ネットワーク回線を使わせてもらえない環境であった場合、最悪データ通信カードでもなんとかなる（かもしれない）という、「店舗を選ばない」所が最大のメリットである。
是非、実現可能であれば一度テストをしてみたい所である。
長い割に内容が薄くて恐縮だが、需要があれば、またこの手の技術的な観点で記事を書きたいと思う。

どっちにしろ人数制限あるから見れない人が出てきちゃうよね

peercastなら実質人数制限無いし、画質もお望みどおりに出来る
ただ、馬鹿には見れないから違う理由でかなりの難民が出るだろうけど

FLVにしてレンタルサーバー複数にアップ
がもっとも現実的じゃないですかね？
撮った動画を決まった場所にアップするだけですし。
ニコニコとか使うと出来る人間を何人か用意しないとですし。

クライアント側での準備が必要な点を除けば、確かにピアキャストは良いですね。
実際の所、大会動画などはどれくらいの同時接続数が発生するのか想像も付かない所が怖いです。

自分が1案を躊躇しているのは、サイズの大きい動画のダウンロードをユーザが一斉にアクセスすると、プロバイダの転送量を一瞬で越えてしまうのではないか？という不安があるからだったりします。
現に私の契約しているこのサーバーでも月間数ギガとかが限度ですし。
ただ、バーチャ道場はかなり上位プランで契約していると思うのでその心配も無用かもしれませんね。
そして相撲業界はIT業界勤務が多いということでｗ

こんにちは、返信遅くなり申し訳ないです。
ご指摘の通り、エンコード処理や配信部分を外だしする案もあったのですが、かまあげさんのバーチャ道場内でシステムを全て完結させるという意向があった為、今のような形となっております。
これも、氏の技術力の高さがあってこそ実現したものですね。
