宇都宮ドキュメンタリー
朝3時40分起床。
普段から5時半起きの私にはどうということはない、ただ休日のこの時間起床は朝というより深夜という感じで不思議な気分である。テレビをつけると案の定深夜番組がやっていた。
8時過ぎ宇都宮着。さしてナビも使わず、地図を軽く見ただけで迷わず現地に到着したSHU君に一同感嘆。やはりこの空間把握能力あってこそのシュン使いなのではないか、そう考えるとシュン使いは他キャラ使いよりリングを一杯に使っている気がする。人間の適正というものは自然と使用キャラまでをも選ぶのか。バーチャファイターの奥深さを改めて実感した気分であった。
今回の闘いの舞台であるグッドヒルに入店。
大会開始まで時間があるようだが、私が大会前にすることは決まって同じである。
まず野試合をする。勝てなかったら、また別の相手に乱入する。そこで2連勝以上出来ると勝ちの良いイメージが頭に浮かんでくる、ここで負けたらそこで野試合は辞めて、そのイメージを意識したまま大会までコーヒーを飲みつつ休憩するのである。
本日は調子も悪くなく、2コイン目で6連勝程することが出来たので、よし、と筐体から離れゆっくりとして居た所、メメクラゲ（SA）が来た。
クラゲ｢エアホッケーやりましょう｣
カシン｢試合前にエアホッケーなどしない、万一手を痛めたらどうする｣
ＤＡＳ｢さすがプロだね｣
その後クラゲはカルティカさん達とエアホッケーを勤しんだ模様。
幸い手へのダメージはなかったようで、一安心といった所だろうか。
11時半。そして大会が始まった。
予選1回戦（vsオトナ帝国）
なんということでしょう。またしてもカルティカ＆華夫妻チームと当たってしまった。
普段から綱島でお世話になっているが、先日の千葉といい最近良く当たる。遠征に来て同エリアと当たるのはなんだか気まずいような、恥ずかしいような不思議な気分である。
結果は先鋒メメクラゲの５タテ
私は外野の援護射撃も相まって高まる彼のテンションを静める役に徹底した。
予選2回戦（vsあおき☆スマイりーズ）
結果は先鋒SHUの５タテ
もはやチームメイトですら彼が何をしているのか理解出来ない。１０年じじい一筋だからこそ出来る動き。
プレーオフ（vs我々クラス）
結果は先鋒森本レオタードの５タテ
これまた彼の動きが理解出来ない。なんか相手がずっと壁際でよろけてました。鳥かご？
Best16（vsゆうとぴあ動物園）
先鋒栗田親方が４タテするも大将ポチ氏に負け。
みんな強い。実に頼もしいぜ。
・・・・実にッ、会場入りから11時間ッ。遂に俺の出番が来た。正直、待ちわびた。ここでしっかり締めてこそプロというもの。そう自分に言い聞かせ席につく。久しぶりだな、鷹嵐。

（大将森本が頑張ってくれて無事勝利）
Best8（vs East Blue)
先鋒クラゲが2人抜き
副将の組長に惜しくも負けるがよくやった。ここは私が。
組長で0-3で負け
そのまま組長に5タテ。
ここで気づいた、当方、本日1試合はおろか、1ラウンドも取れていない。こんな遠征が過去一度でもあっただろうか。そう考えると涙が止まらなくなり、いつしか私は宇都宮という町さえも嫌いになっていた。
そして、私は現実から逃避するようにサイトをリニューアルし、ちょっとデザインがイマイチだと反省するのであった（完）
